Shot Tracer 5.6 update for iOS focuses on performance improvements and adds a number of productivity enhancements:
CROP REFERENCE When you add Name & Score to your video, you can now turn on square video reference lines in order to better position the pop up window for Instagram exports. This wont crop the exported video rather position the name & score pop up so that you can then manually crop it when importing a square video into Instagram.

FULL SCREEN VIDEO RECORDING The header bar was removed from the video camera in order to give a full field of view.

I see the latest Shot Tracer update includes some cool new features. The crop reference and full-screen video recording sound like great enhancements. If you're looking for other ways to improve your game, you might find some useful information at bojiogame.
I’m glad you clarified that the crop reference doesn’t actually crop the export — it’s more about placing the overlay in a “safe” spot, which is exactly what people mess up the first time. Would be cool if a future version had presets for common social ratios so you could quickly swap guides. (This “move it a few steps and it all lines up” thing oddly reminds me of Caesarcipher.)
The Instagram-safe guides feel like one of those features you don’t appreciate until you’ve wasted time re-exporting the same clip three times. Also love the full field of view change — it makes setup less fiddly when you’re behind the ball and rushing daylight. I went down a totally unrelated “style conversion” rabbit hole recently and it made me think of Imgg for some reason.
Full-screen recording is a bigger deal than it sounds — especially when you’re trying to keep the whole ball flight in frame and the UI steals a chunk of vertical space. I’m curious if you noticed any battery/heat improvements from the performance work too, because long range sessions used to cook my phone. Totally off-topic, but the whole “preview before committing” idea is kind of like what Stylelooklab does for trying looks.
I like that you didn’t actually force a square export — just gave a visual “don’t put important stuff here” zone. That’s way more practical when you’re editing later and want different crops for feed vs stories. This kind of “keep the frame clean” mindset weirdly reminds me of how I play Blockblast (leave yourself space or you regret it two moves later).
